DIRECTIONS:

From I-70 take US63 South.

Take Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) exit, turn right (west).

Turn left at Providence Rd.

Turn left at 1st stoplight once road turns to 2 lanes (MO163).

Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is on your right in 1 mile.

RACE DESCRIPTION:

Notes:

  • Course is run counter-clockwise from the big shelter in the upper parking lot.
  • We will be using the new connector trail from the Sinkhole to Spring Brook - take both of the left hand turns after crossing the gravel road the second time.
  • Please stay off the course if the park is closed to mountain biking. Call 573-442-2249 for the trail conditions hotline.

Wide open course over 7+ miles of singletrack. Covers many different areas of park, from creek crossings to grasslands. Two big hills, otherwise rolling outside of the creek bottoms.

The Midwest Fat Tire Series is a series  of competitive mountain bike races in the Midwest whereby a point accumulation process will determine awards for overall, and for all  individual classes. The season is one calendar year.

At the completion of each race, the promoter will send the scorekeeper the results to be tabulated for points for the year end awards. Points are awarded as follows:

1st Place...........24 points

2nd Place..........22 points

3rd Place...........20 points

4th Place............18 points

5th Place............17 points

6th Place...........16 points

21st Place...........1 point

70% of races scored toward the final standings. Work average will be the average of the racer's top 5 scores. Racers are allowed one work average per year.

At the completion of the season, an awards banquet is held for the year end.  Time, date and location are announced at the end of the season.
